How Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy in Kingston, Richmond, Surrey and London works
I work on the basis that we are all born with innate knowledge programmed into us through our genes. Throughout life we experience this knowledge as feelings of physical and emotional need. When problems arise, it can be that either/or our physical being, mental being or environment prevent us from satisfying these basic needs for emotional well being. I am trained and experienced in working from the Human Givens approach. This framework is derived from the latest scientific understandings from neurobiology and psychology, ancient wisdom and original new insights.

What you can expect from a session.

A session with me typically lasts around 60 to 90 minutes. During this time:
  • We will agree goals and a timeline to achieving them
  • I will help immediately with any anxiety problems including trauma or fear related symptoms
  • I will give advice if needed or asked for
  • I won't use jargon or 'psychobabble' or tell you that counselling or psychotherapy has to be 'painful'
  • We will not dwell unduly on the past
  • I may assist you to develop your social skills so that your needs for affection, friendship, pleasure, intimacy, connection to the wider community etc. can be better fulfilled
  • I will help you to draw and build on your own resources (You may surprise yourself)
  • I can teach you to relax deeply
  • I can help you think about your problems in new and more empowering ways
  • I may set you activities to do between sessions
  • I promise to take as few sessions as possible and aim to end every consultation with you feeling better.
